We hear and see through the mass media earthquake that hit the Van Province, Turkey on Sunday (23/10/2011) at 10:41 local time, with a large 7.6 on the Richter scale.
According to confirmation from official sources, around 270 people died and many suffered minor injuries and severe, and many buildings were damaged and collapsed. Shocking and sad news for all of us. Indonesian Humanitarian Committee, as one of the council members UNIW and NGOs concerned with humanity, saying deepest condolences to the victims of the disaster, the peoples and the government of Turkey for this tragedy.
We always pray may Allah make it easy, alleviate the suffering of all the disasters victims. Only to Him we surrender ourselves. And we urge fellow members of NGOs, especially UNIW’s members to be to participate and take a role in alleviating the suffering of the victims.
